Our Story.

Christ Family Outreach Church began in 2008 in the living room of Pastor Lee and Erica Day’s home. 17 people attended the first service that Sunday in March and only a few weeks later they outgrew the living room! Services began to be held in the elementary school and eventually the land was purchased and the building constructed where we currently meet. Over 500 people consider CFO their home and we hope you would prayerfully consider doing the same.

God has blessed the church and supplied every need allowing CFO to be a debt free ministry! Over 100 people volunteer within the church helping it grow and become stronger each and every week. At Christ Family Outreach Church, we want everyone learning and serving together. 1 Corinthians 12:12-31

Our Pastors.

God called Pastor Lee to begin preaching during his freshman year of high school. He has been preaching for 23 years. Pastor Lee and Erica have been in ministry together for 21 years and married for 18 years. They both share the desire for every soul to hear the gospel message of Jesus Christ and for that person to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. As founders of CFO, they hope to see as many as possible serving alongside one another, creating friendships that not only last a lifetime but an eternity! 1 Peter 4:10-11 & Colossians 3:23-24 & Galatians 6:10

“I don’t want to be seen or heard, but may God be seen and heard working in and through me.”

– Pastor Lee

Pastor Jim’s story started when a bible was placed in his hand after accepting an invitation to play basketball with a youth group at an elementary school gym when he was 13 years old. Two years later he began ministry work serving in a music ministry then meeting his wife Stephanie and serving as youth leaders under Pastor Lee and Erica’s leadership. Pastor Jim has been married to Stephanie for 15 years, and left ministry for a time to serve in the United States military where he spent those 15 years in various locations around the world. Upon completion of his service to the Country and the addition of sons, Jonah, Abraham and Abel, he returned home to Amelia, Va where he re-dedicated his life to serve and was called to begin preaching the word of God. Jim and Stephanie have a passion to see people’s hearts transformed by the power and blood of Jesus Christ through the finished work on the cross.  It is his shared belief with the Apostle Paul that he has a responsibility and purpose that the Body of Christ would be built up into maturity, “attaining the whole measure of the fullness of Christ”. (Eph 4:7-13).  He believes that success is not measured from the outcome of the work that goes into ministry today, but by the sustainment of fruit produced many years later. For him, it was just an invitation to play basketball, but for those in ministry it was an opportunity to invest and pour into a young man the fruits of the spirit that through faith in Christ has sustained him all these years later.

“I just wanted to play basketball.”

Who We Are.

In Colossians 3:15-17 the Apostle Paul writes, “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

Christ Family Outreach Church is passionate about always keeping God first. We believe God is in full and complete control of all things, and as long as we keep His Word in our lives and Honor His name we will walk in His anointing and favor as His children. Less of us and more of Him in us; may that always be our hearts cry!
