REVELATION Bible study on Weds. nights..... Ladies, sign up for the Extraordinary Women's Conference coming in September.....

Share this Easter Sunday's message with someone you know that needs to be rescued. Pastor Lee showed us how we can be set free from a cell of bondage, to a life of freedom in Jesus Christ. Let God's Word open the heart of the unsaved by telling them about Pastor's message this week!

A message from our Pastor
In 1 Kings 18:16-40 we read about Elijah dealing with a group of people that have fallen into the sin of idolatry.
In verses 30-33 we are told Elijah repaired the altar that was in ruins.  We must understand the significance of this action!  A proper sacrifice could not be given on a broken down altar.  You see friends, before we were saved, we too were broken down.  However, when Jesus Christ came into our lives as our personal Lord and Savior, He began to put the pieces back together.  The Spirit of God was preparing us for the sacrifice we were to make for the rest of our lives!
When we got saved, something happens that Paul refers to in 2 Corinthians 5:17.  Paul said "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has GONE, the new has COME."
Praise God that His Holy Spirit comes into our lives, and no matter how broken down we may be, He begins to prepare us for a proper sacrifice!
The next thing we need to take notice to is that the fire did not fall on the altar until the sacrifice was ready.
Many Christians want to truly receive the fire from Almighty God in their lives, but they are not ready.  Allow me to explain.  They truly desire the benefits of the "NEW LIFE", but are still in love with their old way of living.  Every seed you sow produces fruit.  So if you are sowing bad seed on purpose, your altar and sacrifice is not yet ready; and the fire won't fall until the sacrifice is ready.
What is our sacrifice?  It is our very lives.  We must be at the point as Christians where we can honestly say to our Heavenly Father, "God, you've got my ALL, my entire life I place in your hands with a desire to do your will.  I want to decrease and allow all of you to increase within me to the point of overflowing!"
In Romans 12:1 Paul calls us to offer our bodies as "living sacrifices" holy and pleasing to God.  In Romans 6:13 Paul says we are to offer our body to God as instruments of righteousness!
I encourage everyone to click on the sermons tab on the tool bar on the top left side of this page.  While you're there, you can watch last Sunday's sermon to learn more from Gods Word on this subject.
God bless you all friends.  It would be considered a complete honor to have you all fellowship with us in service this Sunday.  We meet at the Amelia County Elementary School every Sunday from 10:30-12:00.  Doors open at 10:00.  You can find directions on this site.  I hope to see you all there.
Your brother in Jesus Christ, Pastor Lee Day.  Christ Family Outreach Church.
